   Over my years of teaching Mindfulness meditation I've been constantly asked for recommendations on resources that will
   help people build and maintain their meditation practice.

   Below are a range of resources I've selected to help you grow in your knowledge of Mindfulness and use its potential in

   Wherever You Go There You Are - by Jon Kabat Zinn
   The iconic figure of modern-day Mindfulness practice and application, Jon Kabat-Zinn maps out a
   simple path for cultivating mindfulness in one's own life. This book speaks in creative and accessible  
   ways both to those coming to meditation for the first time and to long-time practitioners - anyone
   interested reclaiming the richness of the present moment.
 


   Mindful Recovery - A Spiritual Path from Addiction - by Thomas Bien & Beverly Bien

   A fresh, practical and effective method for healing from addiction that can help us handle
   important challenges, from managing anxiety and resisting cravings to dealing with emotional and
   physical imbalance.


  
Freedom from Addiction: the Chopra Centre Method for Overcoming Destructive Habits
   - by David Simon & Deepak Chopra

   In this book The Chopra Centre founders David Simon MD and bestselling author and personal-growth
                                expert Deepak Chopra outline their revolutionary approach that defies outmoded ideas about recovery,
                                particularly that people 'are' their addictions or that they are powerless to control them. By integrating
                                the best of Western research with Eastern traditions, they give anyone the tools to uncover the true

   Zen Golf - by Joseph Parent

   A noted PGA Tour coach and a respected Buddhist teacher, Joseph Parent draws on this natural  
   connection to teach golfers a more consistent and less frustrating game, and consequently how to lower

   Walking Meditation [book with CD & DVD] - by Thich Nhat Hanh:

   This is a book with a DVD and audio CD featuring esteemed Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh and
   one of his principle students, Anh-Huong Nguyen. Together illuminate the central tenets of the art of  
   walking meditation.

 

  VIDEO:   In this 70-minute video, Jon Kabat-Zinn delivers a mindfulness meditation workshop
                  
for Google employees (75 minutes).

    Mindfulness chime for your computer 
 
  This simple computer program sets up a periodic chime on your PC that reminds you to be mindful,
    to perhaps stop, relax and take a breath, to spend a few moments to come back to the present  
    moment, and to refect on how you are feeling right now.
    You can set the frequency of the chime, and the type of bell sound you prefer.
