Mindfulness for Carers program

teaches the practice of essential skills drawn from Buddhist meditation to gently build a richer life through increased awareness on many levels.

It creates a nourishing foundation for personal growth, relaxation, clarity and ongoing respite, and for dealing with change and stress. The Practice of Mindfulness also presents significant potential as a tool for dealing with intense emotional states & chronic pain.

The Program offers comprehensive training courses and retreat packages in Mindfulness meditation for professional carers (eg, nurses, counsellors, home-care workers, etc.) and non-professional carers (eg, family members).

The Program is open to carers directly or their representative associations, or to non-profit organisations that support carers in the course of their activities.

The Program's structure will include strategies to enable some carers to undertake the program via potential funding through the carers' support network of organisations and other sources.

Mindfulness Retreat packages
can be arranged as such venues as the (Petrea King) Quest For Life Centre in the Southern Highlands.
